St. Peter, MN - The Crown College Baseball team faced off with the Gustavus Adolphus Gusties on Thursday but were unable to get the victory after falling 18-12.
Crown scored five runs in the first two innings to take a 5-3 lead going into the bottom of the second inning. A home run from 
Cael Magill and a double from 
Rhys Dewick led the way in the first 2 innings. Gustavus answered right back in the bottom of the second inning scoring 7 runs of their own. Two runs from the Polars in the top of the 3rd inning cut the Gusties lead to 10-7 after a few walks and a 
Jack Becker single. Crown once again took the lead in the top of the fifth inning going up 12-10 after hits from 
Cody Csulak, 
Tristen Ciarlo, 
Cael Magill, 
Howie Hatton, and 
Terren Sugita. The Polars gave up eight more runs and Crown fell by a score of 18-12.
Cael Magill totaled 3 hits for Crown and 4 RBI's after hitting a double and a home run to lead the Crown offense. 
Rhys Dewick went 2-4 with two doubles as well. Seven pitchers took the mound for the Polars as

Blake Cramer, 
Payton Clevenger, 
Jacob Crowley, and 
Ryan Vondracek.
The Polars fall to 7-8 on the season and will head to the University of Northwestern Eagles for a three game series starting with a single nine inning game on Friday, April 7th at 3pm.
