Crown Athletics Set to Co-Host 2023-24 NCCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Basketball National Championships

St. Bonifacius, MN - Crown College will cohost the Division II Men's and Women's Basketball National Championships with North Central University for the 2023-24 through 2025-26 academic years after the NCCAA announced an agreement on April 20th.

The Championships take place in March each year and this will mark the first time that Crown has hosted an NCCAA championship in any sport.

"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with the NCCAA to host the Division II Basketball Championships," Director of Athletics Michael Vigue stated. "This is a unique and exciting opportunity for Crown College and our entire community. Crown College and the NCCAA are both deeply committed and aligned with keeping Christ at the center of our student-athlete experience." Vigue added, "We look forward to hosting a premier National Championship experience on our campus for everyone to enjoy."

The past two seasons Crown College's Men's Basketball team has competed in the NCCAA DII National Championships with the Women's Basketball team reaching the regional round.

"Crown College is honored to hold these great championships on our campus," said Crown College President Dr. Andrew Denton. "We are thrilled to be part of the NCCAA, and it is a privilege to host these events for student-athletes to compete at a high level while honoring Christ through their play."
