Royston Earns Double-Double, Polars Defeat Rams 68-63

St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Crown College Men's Basketball team faced off with the North Central Rams on Friday coming out on top by a score of 68-63.

The first half saw Crown come out with an early lead after a couple made threes from Seth Royston. The Polars pushed their lead to thirteen going up 23-10 with 11:44 to go. A late run by North Central pulled them back into the game. A couple late buckets from Cade Carroll put the Polars up 32-29 at the break.

An electric second half saw five score changes starting with a run by North Central giving them their first lead of the game.  Both teams trading buckets throughout the half found the score tied at 53 apiece with 8 minutes to go. A late push put the Rams up by five but their lead was quickly thwarted by the Polars offense and the likes of Royston and Micah Ladd. Five late free throws from Ladd gave Crown the lead and the victory finishing on top 68-63.
