Clark Scores Career High 16 Points, Polars Fall to Norse 85-65

St. Bonifacius, MN - The Polars Women's Basketball team played their final home game of 2023 against the Luther College Norse and fell 85-65.

A three pointer from Madison Morken gave Crown the lead after about two minutes of play. The Norse answered back with a 16-5 run making the score 18-8. Luther College continued the offensive effort stretching the lead to eighteen points with 4 and a half minutes to play in the second quarter. Crown connected on three straight triples, two coming from Kendall Clark and one from Raelin Smalley. The score at halftime favored the Norse 46-25. Luther stretched the lead all the way to twenty nine points in the third quarter. An impressive 24 point fourth quarter was not enough as Crown fell to Luther 85-65.

Kendal Clark led the offensive effort for Crown with 16 points as she had a career day going 6-7 from the field and 4-5 from three point range. Sonia Urbina also scored 15 points. Hazel Serapio and Isabelle Sager both finished with 5 rebounds. Crown as a team shot 44.4% from the field and 46.2% from three point range.

The Polars fall to 2-8 on the season and will have an eleven day break before returning to action on the road at #7 ranked Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa on December 29th at 1pm.
