Wisconsin Dells, WI – The Polars Men's Basketball team faced off with the Webster Gorloks at a neutral site and came out with an 82-70 win.
Crown went on an 8-2 run to start the game. The Gorloks kept up with Crown in the early goings but fell behind as Crown jumped out to an 11 point lead with 8:55 to play. Crown would hold that lead through the halftime break.
The Gorloks came out with defensive pressure in the second half which attributed to the lead being cut to just three points. The Polars answered with buckets from
Tyrus Buckner,
Cade Carroll, and
Carter Behne. Crown stretched the lead back to fifteen and held the lead to the end as Crown took home the victory 82-70.
Cade Carroll notched his fifth double-double of the season with 27 points and 14 rebounds.
Tyrus Buckner scored 17 points.
Jacob Masek finished with 12 points and 8 rebounds.
Tyrus Buckner also notched 3 blocks. The Polars shot 50.9% from the field and 40% from three point range.
Crown moves to 8-3 on the season and will next play an exhibition game against St. Thomas on the road tomorrow Sunday, December 17
th at 2pm.
