St. Bonifacius, MN - The Polars Volleyball team faced off with the UM-Morris Cougars on Wednesday and fell in three sets.
The Cougars took the early 7-3 lead and didn't look back in the first set taking the set 25-16. Crown got off to a hot start in the second set taking a 6-3 lead before a sixteen to five run from Minnesota Morris propelled the Cougars to the second set win. The momentum favored Morris in the third set and Crown fell 3-0.
Alyssa Heagney totaled 11 kills in the contest and 12 digs.
Sydney Cotten notched 3 aces.
Shaelyn McNeill and Kamber Borwn once again stayed even in assists with 8 apiece.
Maggie Claussen continued her solid season and led in digs with 14.
Aryanna Puetz also notched 3 more blocks.
The Polars will return home on Friday for a Senior Night match with the Bethany Lutheran Vikings at 7pm.
