Northfield, Minn. - The Crown volleyball team was defeated by Carleton on Wednesday night but took the second set against the MIAC competitor in a 3-1 loss.
The Knights took the first set 25-14. The Polars took a commanding 8-1 run in the second set never looked back and took the second set 28-26.
From then on, the Polars stayed a few points behind the Knights finishing sets 3 and 4 with scores of 25-16 and 25-15.
Hailey Klein led the team with 14 kills leading the Crown offensive attack.
Ashley Earick finished second in kills on the day with 6. Gracie Vanbebber led the Polars with 12 assists.
Defensively three Polars were all even at 12 digs apiece

Emma Holey, and Shaelyn Mcneill.
The Polars next matchup will be on the road in Ashland, Wisconsin to take on Northland College Friday, Sep. 30
th at 7:00PM.
