Volleyball Drops Conference Opener

St. Paul, Minn. – The Crown volleyball team opened their UMAC season with a tough match on the road, falling 3-0.  The Polars had an efficient day attacking, swinging to a .182 hitting percentage and only committing five attacking errors in three sets.
Unfortunately for coach Strange's team, their opponent enjoyed a phenomenal day in attack, recording 52 kills and a .454 hitting percentage in their win.

Teagan Kuckkahn and Hailey Klein each had six kills for the Polars, while Shaelyn Mcneill led the team with 10 assists.  First-year Emma Holey had nine digs to lead the defensive effort.
Crown will take part in the homecoming festivities this weekend when they host North Central in another UMAC contest.  That match is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start.
