Mankato, Minn. – Despite 12 made threes, the Crown women's basketball team wasn't able to keep pace with Bethany Lutheran on Friday night, falling 95-78. The game was as close as five points with seven minutes to play, but the Vikings finished strong, pulling away late.
Crown was led by 34 points from
Dominique Urbina who made 14 of 27 shots and hit on 4-8 attempts from deep. Crown had two other players in double-figures, each making four three point attempts with
McKenzie Latzke scoring 19 and
Amy Martius reaching 14.
Bethany Lutheran outrebounded the Storm 44-23 and had ten three point makes of their own as the conference's top team pulled out the home victory.
Crown will look to rebound with a game at Martin Luther on Saturday.
