Roseville, Minn. – The Polars Women's Basketball team faced off with the Northwestern Eagles on Friday evening falling 66-43.
The Polars stayed neck and neck with the Eagles in the first quarter after a few threes from
McKenzie Latzke,
Madi Hecox, and
Shauna Thompson ending the first quarter at 15-15. A strong second quarter from the Eagles put the Polars down 31-24 at half.
The Polars struggled from the field in the second half going 6-29 and 1-12 from three-point range. Crown eventually fell by a score of 66-43.
McKenzie Latzke led the Polars offensive effort scoring 10 points.
Madi Hecox scored 7 points for the Polars, and
Raelin Smalley scored 5 points respectively.
Hayla Flowers led Crown in rebounds adding 8 rebounds on the evening.
Crown falls to 3-3 on the season and 0-1 in UMAC play. The Polars will head back to the twin cities on Saturday, December 10
th to take on the North Central Rams at 4:45pm.
