La Verne, CA – The Polars finished up their California trip with a nonconference matchup against La Verne finishing on top 71-70.
The Polars battled in a back-and-forth matchup that found them behind by two points at the break after leading for 18 minutes of the first half. The second half saw the Leopards leap out in front by 13 with twelve minutes to go. The Polars clawed their way back to the lead with 5 minutes to go. A couple important free throws from
Carter Behne and a last second shot by
Jahmar White secured the victory for Crown.
Seth Royston led the scoring again for Crown with 24 points.
Carter Behne notched 13 points for Crown and
Micah Ladd scored 10 points.
Jacob Masek led the Polars on the boards adding 7 to his season total. Royston added 6 blocks in a solid defensive showing and
Jahmar White led with 3 steals for Crown.
The Polars move to 9-4 on the season and will return home on January 7
th at 3pm to take on the Minnesota Morris Cougars in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play.
