St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Polars faced off with Oak Hills Christian in a home nonconference matchup finishing on top 67-36.
Oak Hills Christian scored the first bucket of the game, but Crown answered right back and went on a 19-2 point run to finish the first quarter. A couple threes from
McKenzie Latzke stretched the Polars lead in the second to push Crown's lead to 34-16 at the half.
The second half was more of the same, the Polars keeping the foot on the pedal with a couple of runs of 8 and 10 pushing the lead all the way to 35 at one point. Crown went on to finish 67-36.
Twelve players scored for the Polars with
McKenzie Latzke leading the scoring with 20 points, going 6-15 from the field and 5-13 from three-point range.
Isabelle Sager scored a career high 9 points going 4-5 from the field.
Elli Stoel led Crown on the boards totaling 9 rebounds, Isabelle Sage and
Madi Hecox shortly behind her with 7 apiece. Crown as a team shot 39.3% from the field and 29.4% from three-point range leading in almost every statistical category.
The Polars will look to bring this momentum when they return home to face off with the Trinity Bible College Lions at 5pm on Monday, December 5
th before starting Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play.
