St. Bonifacius, MN - The Polars faced off with the Luther College Norse on Saturday afternoon after their exhibition loss to North Dakota State. The Polars continued their impressive performances finishing on top 76-64.
Crown started off slow in the first half as the first three buckets went to the Norse. The Polars then spurted right back out in front and led for the rest of the first half. The Polars knocked down six threes in the first half accounting for over half of their points, finishing 35-30 at the break.
An explosive start out of the break gave the Polars a 53-36 lead going up by seventeen. Crown shot 7 of 14 in the second half and shot 47.22% from the field in the second half.
Seth Royston led the scoring for Crown once again, scoring 28 points in a dominating performance from behind the 3pt line, knocking down 7 threes.
Jacob Masek and
Micah Ladd both had solid performances, Masek scoring 14 and Ladd scoring 10.
Royston added three more blocks to the season total.
Jacob Van Dam and
Alec Testerman led the rebounding for the Polars with 6 apiece.
Crown returns home November 30
th for a nonconference matchup with Macalester at 7:30pm as they look to continue their win streak.
