St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Crown women got off to another fast start on Saturday afternoon, leading conference front-runners Bethany Lutheran 17-13 after the first quarter, but the experience Vikings eased away from the Storm, eventually winning 88-68. The Vikings Hanna Geistfeld surpassed the 2,000 point mark for her career during the game.
Crown continued their habit of starting games with a bang, hitting seven of their first eleven shots en route to building another early lead. The experienced Vikings team steadily worked their way back and eventually out to a comfortable lead, winning each of the next three quarters.
Dominique Urbina exploded for 34 points in the contest, hitting on 15-29 shots while playing all 40 minutes.
McKenzie Latzke added 14 and
Amy Martius had seven points, eight rebounds, and four assists. The Storm had an impressive 15 assists in the game.
Crown will host Northwestern in a makeup game from earlier in the season this coming Wednesday. The tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
