MINNEAPOLIS --- Crown College Baseball faced the Bethel Royals on their third day of games at U.S. Bank Stadium, but unfortunately, fell 7-1 in both games. 

First-year Kevin Golden started on the mound for the Storm in game one and went four innings allowing four earned runs. After Golden's four, Caleb Keen entered the game and only allowed one hit in two innings but kept Golden's pace of one earned run per inning. Leading the offense was senior Seth Betts with two hits. Fellow senior Bailey Sarto and sophomore Rhys Dewick both had an extra-base hit in the opening game.

In game two, Sarto took the mound and pitched one inning. Eric Newman relieved Sarto and pitched four innings with five strikeouts. Betts concluded the game of their all-senior staff, allowing two earned runs but striking out five. In the final inning, Betts struck out all three batters looking. Junior Kyle Schroedle led the Storm's offensive performance with two hits, one extra-base hit, and the Storm's lone RBI.

Crown Baseball will head back to U.S. Bank Stadium tomorrow, facing the Hamline Pipers at 5 p.m. This matchup will be the Pipers' opening game, the fifth opponent having their opening day against the Storm.
