MINNEAPOLIS --- Crown Men's Basketball took on the Augsburg Auggies in a contest on Tuesday night, falling to Augsburg 85-55 in the Auggies' first action of the year. The game was a late addition for the Storm as Augsburg looked to compete despite its canceled first three games.
First-year Micah Moan had an impressive performance for the Storm, scoring 17 on 6/11 from the field, an early career-high for the Concordia native. Junior Seth Royston led the team with a career-high eleven rebounds and had eight points in the game. Senior Sawyer Lawhon led the team with three assists.
Crown had an even scoring performance with Cole Andersen, Micah Ladd, Dylan Gilmer, Jacob Van Dam, Cam Reece, Aaron Davis, Alec Testerman, Cade Neubert, and Brandon Pratt all recording points in the contest.
The Storm struggled shooting the ball but did have a nice resurgence at the free-throw line, shooting over 80% from the charity stripe. The Storm will now head to Martin Luther College in New Ulm for a Thursday night matchup with the Knights.
