Latzke Scores in Double Figures as Storm Host First Game in 11 Months

ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. --- Crown College Women's Basketball hosted the first intercollegiate game by any Crown team in the last eleven months on the Storm's Campus. It marked the beginning of the oddest looking era the Wild Athletic Center has ever seen as the Storm took on Bethany Lutheran with spaced out chairs and the bleachers tucked in. Looking true to their reigning champion pedigree, the Vikings looked in tip-top shape for the game and defeated the Storm handily 105-42.

First-year guard McKenzie Latzke led the team in scoring with 12 points in the contest and a team-high three steals. Sophomore guard Amy Martius was next in scoring with seven points. Sophomore guard Dominique Urbina and first-year forward Molly Schmitz both added six in the contest. Rounding out the Storm starting five was junior Katie Archer with three points.

Off the bench, junior Shauna Thompson, first-year Raelin Smalley, and junior Thiery Zachary combined for eight points to complete the Storm scoring performance.

Crown looks to get back on track as they head to face Northland College on Saturday. Last season, the Storm swept the series with the Lumberjills 2-0.
