Martius Has First Career Double-Double, Urbina in Double Figures

ASHLAND, Wis. --- Crown Women's Basketball took on the Northland Lumberjills today in their third conference game of the season, and despite an early lead, fell to the rival 68-45. Sophomore guard Amy Martius was the high-point scorer for the Storm and recorded her first career double-double with eleven points and eleven rebounds. 

Sophomore Dominique Urbina scored in double figures with ten points in the contest and also grabbed six rebounds. Starting alongside Martius and Urbina were first-years Molly Schmitz and McKenzie Latzke, and junior Katie Archer. Schmitz added four points and seven rebounds, Archer added four points, and Latzke added two points, two assists, and five rebounds. Off the bench for the Storm, Shauna Thompson scored eight points, and May Laverty scored six. Laverty also had a team-high three assists in the contest. 

The Storm stayed in the game by dominating Northland on the boards, with 15 offensive rebounds to the Lumberjill's four and outscoring Northland 15-2 in second-chance points. 

Crown moves on to face the Martin Luther Knights at home on Thursday at 7 p.m. There will be no spectators allowed for the contest. However, it can be live-streamed for free on this website.
