ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. --- Crown Men's Basketball took on the Northwestern Eagles on Wednesday as they continue their Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) schedule. Unfortunately, the Eagles kept rolling as they improved to 9-1 in UMAC play, defeating the Storm 88-73.
Senior wing
Gunnar Ledin had a huge game with 24 points and made five three-point attempts. Fellow senior
Tim Wendel added 19 points and had nine rebounds in the contest, and junior
Christian Moore led the team with 13 rebounds. First-year guard
Alec Testerman led with a team-high five assists in the contest; Wendel and Moore both had four assists. Testerman also grabbed four rebounds and scored four points, all career-highs for the first-year Californian. Sophomore
Seth Royston had his best game to date with nine points (three made three-pointers) and two blocks.
Also scoring for the Storm was
Cole Andersen (five points),
Torry Ledin (three points),
Sawyer Lawhon (two points), and
Zach Skorik (two points). The Storm hope to get back on track on Friday when they host Trinity Bible. The next day after Trinity they head to UW-La Crosse for a matchup with the WIAC school for back-to-back non-conference games.
