SUPERIOR, Wis. --- Senior forward
Tim Wendel had another high-scoring performance on Saturday as the Storm took on the UW-Superior Yellowjackets, who are currently tied for second in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC). Wendel had 25 points and eight rebounds in another stellar show for the senior forward, who currently leads the conference in scoring. Despite being down 12 points at halftime, the Storm retook the lead several times in the second half and were even leading with three minutes remaining. However, Superior hit shots in crunch time to retake the lead and the game to improve to 8-1 in UMAC play.
Senior wing
Gunnar Ledin added 12 points on four makes in six attempts, and junior
Christian Moore added eleven points on 60% shooting. The Storm shot over 50% from three-point range, with Ledin (3/4) and Moore (2/3) leading the way. Sophomores
Seth Royston,
Sawyer Lawhon, and
Cole Andersen all made their only attempt from three-point range. Andersen had nine points in the contest, and Royston added five.
Senior guard
Zach Skorik added five points;
Austin Barton and
Alec Testerman both scored two to complete the Storm's scoring performance. Crown returns home on Saturday to face the Northwestern Eagles, 5:30 at the Wild Athletic Center.
