Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Storm Come Back Twice Against Northwestern, Fall 94-83

ROSEVILLE, Minn. --- Crown Men's Basketball came back not once, but twice, however it wasn't enough as the Storm lost their first conference game of the season to the University of Northwestern, 94-83. Seniors Tim Wendel and Gunnar Ledin once again were scoring machines, with 48 of the team's 83 points. Wendel had 25 and eleven rebounds for his third double-double of the year. Ledin added 23 points, four assists, three rebounds, and a block in a stellar all-around game.

Next up for the Storm in scoring was junior Christian Moore, who had ten points off the bench; Moore also added seven rebounds. Senior point guard Zach Skorik scored nine points in the contest, his season-high, on 4/7 shooting from the field and dished four assists. Crown's second-half comeback was evident in many measures, with the Storm bench outscoring Northwestern 16-3 in the second half, the Storm leading 12-3 in second half second-chance points, and the Storm leading 32-18 in second-half points in the painted area.

Crown competed in the contest despite a lid being on the rim for their three-point attempts, as Crown only made nine baskets on 32 attempts. The Storm look to improve that on Saturday as the team heads to St. Scholastica in Duluth for a contest with the Saints.
