SUPERIOR, Wis. --- Crown Women's Basketball lost in their opening game of 2019 against the UW-Superior Yellowjackets, 46-83. The Storm only outscored the Jackets in the fourth quarter, 18-17. 

First-year Shauna Thompson led the team with 13 points, making five of eight attempts from the field. Junior Patricia Gibson led the team with eight boards and two steals. 

Crown shot 67% from three-point range, with Thompson and sophomore Brooke Honeck making both of their attempts. The Storm return home on Saturday when they host the visiting Northland College Lumberjills.
