ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. --- Crown Women's Basketball was defeated by the Northland Lumberjills on Saturday afternoon 64-40 in an incredibly long strenuous game that lasted over two hours. The Storm fell despite a brilliant effort from first-year guard Shauna Thompson who had a career-high 16 points, leading all scorers in the matchup. 

Junior forward Damonyka Roberts led all rebounders for the Storm with eight boards in the game. Fellow junior Rose Crowns had four steals in the game to lead all players for either team. 

The Lumberjills are now 1-4 in UMAC play, while the Storm are still seeking their first victory of the conference season. Crown men's and women's basketball teams head to Bethany Lutheran on next Wednesday as they continue their UMAC schedule.
