St. Peter, Minn. — Crown's men's and women's tennis teams fell 0-9 each to Bethany Lutheran this past weekend as they played their matches indoors at the Swanson Tennis Center in St. Peter.
The men struggled in singles, taking no more than two games per set. They had slightly more success in doubles, with the combination of
Romeo Mork and
Caleb Baumann taking four games in #1 doubles.
The women's team had the opposite result of the men, struggling more in doubles than singles. In doubles, the team took no more than two games, but in #5 and #6 singles, Crown had two athletes compete in a third game. Both
Madison Stricklin and
Nahomie Konzi took a set against Bethany's players, but couldn't find a way to capitalize on a forced third set.
With all remaining tennis matches scheduled outdoors, check back on the athletics website or Crown Athletics' official Twitter account (@stormathletics) for updated information.
