Mankato, Minn. — Crown's women's basketball team faced the #2 team in the UMAC, the Bethany Lutheran Vikings, on Wednesday, and despite a huge performance from senior Desiree Davis, couldn't take home the coveted win, falling 54-67. Davis had 21 points, five rebounds, five assists, and six steals in her third 4x5 of the season.
Senior Andrea Besa scored nine points and had three assists in the matchup as Crown's next leading scorer. Stevey De La Ossa, Kayla Carter and Damonyka Roberts all had six points in the matchup. The Crown women were able to score 20 points in the fourth quarter, but it was too late as Bethany showed why they are one of the best teams in the conference.
After losses to the top two teams in the UMAC, Crown looks to return home to face Northland on Saturday, a team they beat earlier this year.
