Superior, Wis. — Crown women's basketball team played a conference game against UW-Superior on Saturday. The Yellowjackets, who haven't lost a conference game, won easily against the Storm 28-60.
Crown struggled early in the game, only scoring five points in each of the opening two quarters while giving up 35. Senior Desiree Davis scored 13 points on 5/9 shooting. Sophomore Patricia Gibson was two points and one rebound away from a double-double. Those two scorers were Crown's only players with more than two points. UW-Superior only had four turnovers, and Crown only forced one steal, well below their season average (and many individuals' averages).
UW-Superior continues their dominating run in UMAC play, and Crown's women's team continues to sit in sixth place, facing the #2 UMAC team Bethany Lutheran on Wednesday in Mankato.
