Storm Fall to Rams in UMAC Game of the Week

MINNEAPOLIS --- Crown Women's Basketball fell to the North Central Rams on Saturday afternoon 61-48 in a game the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) showcased as "Game of the Week." Free throws were the key differentiator in the matchup between the rivals, with the Rams going 18/22 from the line, while the Storm only went 6/10 from the stripe.

Marissa Ruf and Damonyka Roberts both scored in double figures in the matchup. Sophomore Brooke Honeck led the team with nine rebounds, and Stevey De La Ossa had an impressive seven assists in the contest.

Crown won the turnover battle, as they had 16 turnovers and forced 23. The Storm struggled with foul trouble as Roberts fouled out of the contest, and Honeck, Shauna Thompson, and Rose Crowns all had four fouls. This contest was the first "UMAC Game of the Week" the Storm women have been featured in. The Storm start winter break before heading to UW-Superior to continue their UMAC schedule on January 2.
