St. Bonifacius, Minn. — Crown women's basketball couldn't find a way to win in a physical game against the UMAC-leading Yellowjackets on Wednesday night. Senior Desiree Davis had an incredible game with 18 points, six assists, five rebounds and six steals. Davis is only one steal away from becoming Crown's all-time leader in steals.
Kayla Carter had nine points and six boards, Madison Stricklin had six points on 60% shooting, and Brooke Honeck had three points, a rebound, an assist, and a steal in her first game entering the starting lineup. Patricia Gibson made an impact off the bench, with a team-leading eight rebounds in the game.
Crown hopes to recover and reset on their remarkable season thus far with a match against Northland on Saturday in northern Wisconsin.
