St. Bonifacius, Minn. — Crown's women's basketball team competed against Bethany Lutheran today at the Wild Athletic Center, and never seemed to find a rhythm, falling to the Vikings 45-77.
Desiree Davis led the team with ten points and six steals, Damonyka Roberts added eight points, and Rose Crowns scored seven in the matchup. Senior Andrea Besa had three steals and four assists but was held scoreless in the game. Crown was in foul trouble all game with Madison Stricklin fouling out and Patricia Gibson playing several minutes with four fouls.
Crown only had 18 turnovers compared to the Vikings 24, but couldn't turn the turnovers into points. Bethany is now 5-2 in UMAC play, and Crown falls to 2-4.
Crown hopes to recover from this loss as they head to Duluth on Saturday to face St. Scholastica.
