St. Bonifacius, Minn. — Sophomore Torry Ledin had a career-high 17 points and had five made three-pointers (on only seven attempts) in a contest with the current UMAC leaders Bethany Lutheran on Wednesday evening. However, the team struggled to find a way to stop the Vikings, allowing triple digits for the first time all season. Bethany was able to beat Crown 100-84.
Sophomore Tim Wendel and Josh Volness both had solid performances coming back from season lows against Northland this past Saturday. Both scored 17 points and had three assists, Wendel had eight rebounds, and Volness added four steals.
Senior Trey Peace had two technical fouls in the game and was ejected midway through the second half, and the Storm offense stagnated with the starting point guard. Bethany is now 6-1 in UMAC play while Crown drops to 2-4.
Crown hopes to rebound from this two-game skid with a game against the Saints of St. Scholastica on Saturday.
