Milwaukee, Wis. — Crown women's team beat Maranatha Baptist on Saturday afternoon after outscoring the Sabercats 18-8 in the final quarter to take the lead away. Desiree Davis led the way for the Storm with 32 points, eight rebounds, seven steals, three assists and a block in the game. Crown had a strong second quarter where the team scored 22 points, breaking their streak of five consecutive quarters of not breaking double figures. 

Along with Davis, Andrea Besa was also in double figures with ten points, seven assists, and six rebounds in the match. Madison Stricklin also scored seven points and had six rebounds in the game.  Crown was down by five entering the fourth quarter, but Davis had fifteen points in the fourth to steal away the victory. 

This game was Crown's third win of the season, and improves their record to 3-5. Crown hopes to start a winning streak when they next play at home on Tuesday in a non-conference matchup with a matchup against Lawrence.
