St. Bonifacius, Minn. — In his first year playing for the Storm, Christian Moore had his first Crown double-double as he scored 13 points and had ten rebounds in the game. He also contributed with four steals on the defensive side of the ball. The Lions held with Crown early, with Crown only holding a three-point lead at halftime, but Crown put them away in the second half for a 22-point victory, 81-59.
Tim Wendel had his third double-double of the season as he had 12 rebounds and 11 points, his second straight game with more rebounds than points scored; Wendel also added two blocks on the defensive side of the ball. Senior Austin VanDerHeyden was Crown's leading scorer with 15 points, and contributed in most areas of the game, passing for seven assists, and blocking four shots.
Trey Peace was in double-figures in the match with ten points on a perfect five of five from the field. Volness also had ten points in the game with two made three-pointers. Torry Ledin added nine points and three rebounds in 15 minutes of action. Senior Terrell Thomas also added four assists, four rebounds and two steals in the game. Sophomore Kole Jusczak only scored four points but contributed with four rebounds and three assists.
Crown shot an impressive 51.5% in the game and 40% from three while holding Trinity to 36.4% shooting and under 30% from downtown.
Crown's next game is on Thursday against Faith Baptist, a second straight NCCAA school.
