St. Bonifacius, Minn. — The Crown volleyball team picked up their first home win of the season with a 3-0 sweep over the North Central Rams, their second sweep of the Rams this season. Battling through tightly contested matches, Crown found a way to win each set; 25-21, 26-24, and 25-22.
Celebrated seniors
Christine Anderson and
Kelsey Roschen led the Storm efforts to victory. Anderson led the team with nine kills, three aces, and four blocks. Roschen led the team with an incredible 31 assists and 24 digs. All the seniors were shining tonight with
Michaela Svoboda adding five assists and 16 digs to the team's efforts,
Elle Baker having two aces, and
Alayna Kohler and
Kaitlin Ruiter both with eight kills in the game (only one behind Anderson).
Roschen's game was more impressive than just the team-leading digs and assists, adding five kills of her own with no attacking errors, a .278 hitting percentage. She also didn't have a setting error despite hundreds of attempts. Her only error occurred on a team rotation mistake on one of her serves, which unfortunately credits Roschen with a service error.
Crown attempts to continue their momentum with a home game against Bethany Lutheran on Tuesday.
