Mankato, Minn. — The Crown women were in action on Friday night in Mankato facing UMAC opponent Bethany Lutheran. Crown was in the game, only down three points with less than two minutes remaining, but couldn't bring home as the win as Bethany pulled ahead late. Crown fell to Bethany, 55-62.
Ten Crown players scored in the game, led by the youth of rookies
Stevey De La Ossa and
Mariah Douville, and sophomore
Kayla Carter. De La Ossa hit double figures for the first time in her college career, and Douville hit her new career high with nine points in her third game with the Storm. Carter kept up her consistent scoring ability with nine points in the match. Senior
Molly Greenfield also had eight points with two made threes; this was Greenfield's tenth game of the season with multiple three-pointers made. Senior
Katie Hinkle also added six points.
Crown next plays Saturday against Martin Luther College.
