Waconia, Minn. – Crown was searching to get back on the winning track after dropping a double header to Morris this past week. Their playoff hopes took another shot on Saturday as the Yellowjackets from UW – Superior swept a double header from the Storm 7-3 and 5-2.
Game 1
A 0-0 deadlock was broken up in fifth inning when the Yellowjackets got a sacrifice fly to score one run, but Crown would answer in the bottom of the fifth with two RBI singles from
Harry Ballantyne and Daryl Tayler to take the lead 2-1. Superior would tie it in the top of six, but
Kress Medina put Crown ahead in the bottom of the sixth with his own RBI single to go up 3-2.
