Minneapolis, Minn. – The Crown baseball team split a non-conference double-header with North Central this past Saturday, losing game one 3-2 and winning the nightcap 9-3.  The split moves Crown's overall record to 7-7 on the year.

Crown ran into a gutsy performance from North Central in game one and was held to just two runs on six hits over seven innings.  Ryan Denison was a tough-luck loser, giving up just one earned run over five innings, while Luke Meyer's two RBI single in the sixth provided the total of Crown's offense.

Game two saw the Storm get back on track, with Seth Herdle throwing three shutout innings in relief for the win.

Parker Lippold stayed hot atop the Crown order, going 3-3 with two runs and two RBI to lead the offense.

Crown has a very important double-header today (Tuesday) at Northwestern and a total of six games this week.
