Ashland, Wis. - The Crown College women's basketball team was seeking to capitalize on the momentum built from Friday's come from behind win over Finlandia on Saturday as they took on Northland College in Wisconsin. Both teams came to compete as the first half saw a 28-28 tie as they headed into the locker room. Northland built a six point lead over the third quarter, and Crown would not be able to overcome that deficit falling by a final score of 66-58.
Crown shot extremely poor from the free throw line at 9-20, about 20% below their season average. Crown outrebounded Northland 40-30, but lost the turnover battle committing 24 turnovers that led to 23 Northland points.
Desiree Davis led the Storm with 19 points and seven rebounds but also had seven turnovers as well.
Hannah Malone had 10 points while
Jessica Klaustermeier chipped in eight points and six rebounds.
