Carter Scores 17 in Loss to St. Kate's

St. Bonifacius, Minn. — Sophomore Kayla Carter had a big night against the MIAC's St. Kate's, scoring 17 points on 7-9 shooting, and also pulling down five boards. Carter also had an assist, and only one foul and turnover in her twenty minutes of playing time. Unfortunately, despite her best efforts, Crown still fell to St. Kate's 58-82. 

Crown got off to a slow start, getting outscored 26-10 in the first quarter, but rebounded in the second quarter, only behind 32-42 at halftime against a St. Kate's team coming off a dominant win against St. Olaf. St. Kate's started to pull away late in the third quarter, giving Crown it's sixth loss of the season.

The Crown women next play against Martin Luther at home on Friday, 5:30 pm.
