St. Paul, Minn. – Volleyball lost both games this weekend against the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and St. Catherines respectively. The Crown women struggled, not being able to win a set against either team.
Against St. Catherine, junior
Katie Hinkie (Dows, Iowa/Clarion-Goldfield) had four blocks and junior
Miranda Brueggeman (Harris, Iowa/Harris Lake Park) had seven kills.
Junior
Kelsey Roschen (Anoka/Anoka) had 31 kills and senior
Taylor Urcuyo (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif./Upland Christian) had 24 digs throughout the two games. Urcuyo is approaching history as those 24 digs put her at 999 digs for her Crown career, one away from reaching 1,000. She is already the career record holder for most digs in Crown history.
Urcuyo hopes to reach that mark against the University of Minnesota-Morris at home on Tuesday, at 7pm.
