St. Bonifacius, Minn. - In a poor first half performance which saw the Storm shoot only 1-16 from beyond the arc, Crown found themselves down to Northland 26-19 at the half in another UMAC contest. However the Storm would rally in the second half tying the game at 45 with 6:42 to go in the second half. Crown would build a four point lead at 56-52 with 2:53 to go before Northland would embark on an 8-0 run over the final 2:53 to win 60-56 over Crown.
Crown outrebounded the Lumberjacks 35-29 including 13 offensive rebounds, but could not overcome their chilly shooting performance. Crown was hindered by a 33.3% percentage from the floor including 16.7% from beyond the arc in a 5-30 shooting night.
Crown was led by
Austin VanDerHeyden with a huge double double at 19 points and 10 rebounds while
James Brown contributed his own double double with 11 and 11. Freshman
Josh Volness rounded out the scoring with 12 points.
Crown plays another UMAC game Saturday night against Finlandia University at home.
