Storm Stifled by Eagles

St. Bonifacius, Minn. - After picking up a solid win over the North Central Rams on Friday night, Crown was seeking back to back wins when the Northwestern Eagles came to town Saturday afternoon.  Crown previously lost to the Eagles back on December 11th by a score of 106-69.  The Storm played a much better game this time, especially defensively, but could not match the magic of Friday night losing 82-56 to the Eagles.

Crown was held to 34.4% shooting on the night while the Eagles finished at 50.9%.  In addition, the Eagles outrebounded the Storm 46-28 as they held a superior height advantage.  Five Eagles scored in double figures as they notched 26 second chance points on the Storm.

Crown was led by Austin VanDerHeyden with 14 points and eight rebounds.  Seth Moan was the only other player in double figures with 12 points to go along with three steals.
