St. Bonifacius, Minn. - Crown welcomed the University of Minnesota Morris Cougars to town for their second matchup of the season. Crown fell to Morris 75-58 earlier in December. Crown jumped out to a 14-12 lead after the first quarter, and trailed 28-24 at the half. Crown narrowed the lead to 42-39 at the end of three, but could not come up with the win as the Cougars won by a final score of 65-57.
Crown improved remarkably from the first matchup of the season holdign the Cougars to 38.2% shooting. Crown also stayed steady in rebounding losing by only one rebound. Unfortunately, Crown only hit 22-62 baskets for 35.5% and hit only 4-19 threes.
Kayla Carter led the Storm with 11 points while
Andrea Besa contributed nine points, four assists, and two steals.
Hannah Malone also had nine points and a team high six assists.
Desiree Davis had eight points, three steals and nine rebounds before fouling out.
