St. Bonifacius, Minn. – Coming off of a big win against North Central, Crown College was seeking back to back wins in conference as the Cougars from UM – Morris came to town. However, Crown could not contain the Cougars as they shot 58.1% from the field and 57.1% from three point range to dominate the Storm 101-69.
Crown allowed 52 points in the first half on 7-10 three point shooting as five Morris players reach double figures in the game as Crown could not find a stop defensively. Crown did not help their own cause by committing 18 turnovers for the game.
James Brown poured in 23 points and six rebounds while
Austin VanDerHeyden notched 20 points of his own on 9-13 shooting to go along with eight rebounds.
Crown will travel to St. Scholastica and Northland for two more UMAC games this weekend.
