St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Crown College men's basketball team played their final games this season against North Central and Northwestern.  This season has been a difficult season for the young Storm who made it all the way to the UMAC Championship last season.  This weekend would be no different as Crown suffered an exciting, yet heartbreaking loss to North Central 82-78 and a tough 72-46 loss to Northwestern.
 
NCU – Crown was down four at the half after a back and forth affair saw both teams exchange the lead and tie multiple times.  Crown had their chances to win down the stretch, but turnovers and a missed layup gave the Rams the win.  Crown shot an astounding 10-15 from beyond the arc in this game including a 3-3 performance from Garrett Bigej off the bench.  Unfortunately, Crown committed 17 turnovers in this game giving North Central too many extra possessions.
 
James Brown knocked down 28 points and tied the team lead with four assists as Trey Peace poured in 18 points in his second start of the season.  Austin VanDerHeyden had himself a double double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
 
UNW – This game got out of hand early for the Storm as they were down 44-17 at the half and could not close the distance at any point.  Crown committed 19 turnovers leading to 20 points for the Eagles who shot close to 52% from the field.  Crown came back down to earth in their shooting percentage shooting 28.3% from the field and only 17.6% from three.
 
VanDerHeyden led the team with 13 points and six rebounds while Peace had 10 points.  The UMAC leading scorer Brown was held to seven points on 3-10 shooting.
