St. Bonifacius, Minn. - Crown College played their last non-conference game this season before UMAC play against Oak Hills Christian College from Bemidji, Minnesota. Crown leapt out to a 51-40 lead in the first half and cruised to a 111-91 win in this high scoring affair where both teams shot over 52% from the field.
Crown shot 58.1% for the game and 50% from beyond the arc in their best offensive performance of the young season. The Storm also collected 13 offensive rebounds and had 22 assists, both season highs. The only negatives for the Storm were the 16 turnovers and letting the Wolfpack shoot 52.2% from the field.
Crown had four players reach double figures led by
James Brown with 22 points and seven rebounds on 8-10 shooting from the floor.
Austin VanDerHeyden had 20 points and 14 rebounds as well as three assists.
Garrett Bigej and
Tom Messner both contributed 17 and 14 points respectively and accounted for nine threes between the two of them.
Crown's next game is against the University of Minnesota Morris Cougars on Saturday, December 5th in Morris, Minnesota.
