Poor Second Half Dooms Storm Against Rams

Minneapolis, Minn. - Crown College took on North Central University on Saturday afternoon searching for their first victory of the young season.  Crown took a two point lead at halftime after a strong second quarter 31-29.  The second half was not friendly for the Storm though as they were outscored 31-15 in the final two quarters for a final score of 60-46 in favor of the Rams.

In the third quarter, Crown's offense slowed down dramatically as they had more turnovers, seven, than made field goals, three.  The third quarter was slightly better with only three turnovers, but Crown still only managed three made field goals.   Both teams shot similar from the field, but Crown went 0-10 from beyond the arc and were outscored 17-8 at the charity stripe.

Desiree Davis led the Storm with 12 points and six rebounds while Sam Mauer had a strong game with nine points and seven rebounds.  Jessica Klaustermeier also chipped in eight points and seven rebounds.
