Box Score Mount Pleasant, Iowa – The Crown College Storm travelled to Mount Pleasant, Iowa on Saturday with a chance to rectify the recent close losses they had.  Although the Storm struggled in the red zone, they were able to control the game and come out with a 21-14 win.
 
Crown scored on their first drive to go up 7-0, but Iowa Wesleyan tied it up at 7-7 on a controversial option pass where a flag was picked up.  Crown scored again with one minute left in the half to go up 13-7 after the failed kick.  Iowa Wesleyan scored on the first drive out of the second half to go up 14-13.  Crown would get the go ahead score with 3:13 left in the third quarter with a two point conversion for the final score of 21-14.
 
Crown won every statistical measure of the game outgaining the Tigers 416-309 and winning the turnover battle plus three.  The one statistic Crown could not master was the three for seven performance in the red zone accounting for the close score.
 
Brandon McCormick finished his career going 20-35 through the air for 213 yards and three touchdowns.  Josh Edlund led the ground game with 35 carries for 180 yards.  Trey Peace and Terrell Thomas led the receiving corps with eight catches for 61 yards and seven catches for 82 yards respectively.  Chris Strange led the defense with six tackles and an interception while Alex Banks and Cody Ricketts also both registered interceptions.  Jalen Phoenix also had six tackles while Everett Hawk contributed a sack.
 
Crown ends the season with a 4-6 record and 4-5 record in the UMAC.
