St. Bonifacius, Minn. - Crown College welcomed Macalester College to St. Bonifacius for continued non-conference play as the conference season nears for the Storm. Crown made many strides finding themselves down only 30-21 at half, but a poor third quarter doomed the Storm to a 66-49 defeat.
Both teams did not shoot the ball extremely well both coming in under 44%. However, the Scots were helped by 29 Storm turnovers while committing only 15 turnovers themselves. Crown also gave up 13 offensive rebounds for 21 second chance points.
Crown was led by
Sam Mauer with 11 points and eight rebounds while
Jessica Klaustermeier had eight points, five rebounds, and three assists. The Storm got up only 43 shots on the day compared to 60 for the Scots.
Crown's next game will be played on Monday at home against Hamline University.
