St. Bonifacius, Minn. - Crown College welcomed the Concordia College Cobbers to town on Saturday for another MIAC nonconference matchup. Crown played extremely well for the first fifteen minutes of the game tied at 26 with 5:26 to go the in the first half. However, the Cobbers got hot especially from three to go on a 30-6 run to close the half into the second half to blow the game wide open. Crown would lose by a final score of 97-64.
Crown shot 40.7% for the game which is up from past games especially shooting 46.15% in the first half. Crown was able to limit turnovers and stay equal in the rebounding column, but the taller Cobbers shot 63% for the game using their size to beat up on the Storm.
Austin VanDerHeyden finished with 17 points and three rebounds in the game shooting 8-9 from the field in a solid performance. Crown was able to get a three pointer from seven different players in the game which was also an improved sign.
Crown will play their next contest on Tuesday, December 1st at 7 p.m. against Oak Hills.
