St. Bonifacius, Minn. - Crown College welcomed the Augsburg College Auggies to St. Bonifacius for some continued non-conference play. Crown was looking to avenge a loss to Augsburg from last season and hung around the the MIAC member for a half before the depth and height of the Auggies pulled away for a 92-70 win.
Crown found themselves down only 43-38 against the Auggies behind 13 first half points from
Seth Moan who found played a stellar game with a couple of three pointers and some nifty drives to the basket. Crown was down by only 10 with 14:42 to go in the second half, but Augsburg used a 12-2 run after that to put the game away for good.
Moan finished with 17 points and four assists to lead the Storm.
Austin VanDerHeyden had 10 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks, but he shot only 4-11 from the field missing some shots around the basket he typically makes. Leading scorer
James Brown was held to six points on 1-8 shooting in his lowest scoring performance this season.
Crown's next game will be on November 28th against Concordia College at home with tipoff at 5 p.m.
